tesa® 51966 is a transparent, double-sided mounting tape consisting of a PET backing and a tackified acrylic adhesive. The mounting tape is able to withstand environmental factors such as humidity, UV light, and temperatures of up to 266°F for limited periods of time. The tackified acrylic adhesive offers excellent hold on various surfaces, high tack, and good shear strength.

The tackified acrylic adhesive provides excellent adhesion on various surfaces, very high tack, and good shear strength.

tesa® Double Coated Polyester Tape 51966 is a transparent, high-performance mounting tape featuring a PET backing and highly tackified acrylic adhesive. Designed to withstand humidity, UV exposure, and temperatures up to 266°F for limited periods, it delivers very high tack, strong shear strength, and excellent adhesion on a variety of surfaces. The tape includes recycled PET content to support sustainability goals.

Sustainable Aspects:
• Contains an average of 8% post-consumer recycled content
• 90% recycled PET backing
• Liner and tape core are considered packaging materials and are excluded from recycled content calculations

This is a third-party environmental claim validated against the UL Environmental Claim Validation Procedure 2809 for recycled content. The UL Environmental Claim Validation Program falls under UL’s ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
