It is used for electrical applications where excellent insulation and heat resistance are required, as well as mechanical applications requiring high temperature performance, low friction, and a non-stick surface.

TapeCase PTFE Tape TC315-3 is a 3 mil skived PTFE film coated with a high temperature silicone adhesive. It is designed for electrical applications where good insulation and heat resistant properties are required such as coil wraps, separators, transformers, slot liners, and harness wrapping. TC315-3 is also well suited for mechanical applications that require high temperature resistance and a low friction, non-stick surface. Common industries include electrical, mechanical, military and defense, and oil and gas. This tape meets UL 510A requirements for flame retardancy and cold resistance (UL File No. E179854).
