3M 55 Polyester Film/Mat Composite Electrical Tape

3M™ 55 is a white electrical insulation tape with a polyester film/nonwoven reinforced composite backing and thermosetting rubber adhesive. The tough and conformable composite film tape provides high edge-tear, puncture and abrasion resistance along with excellent electrical properties. The tape is rated for continuous operation not exceeding 130°C (266°F) per UL and CSA listings.

3M™ 55 is a white, 7.25 mil thick electrical insulation tape featuring a polyester film/nonwoven reinforced composite backing coated with a thermosetting rubber adhesive. The polyester film/nonwoven reinforced composite backing is tough and conformable, providing high edge-tear, puncture and abrasion resistance along with excellent electrical properties. The thermosetting rubber adhesive bonds securely without requiring heat, moisture, or additional preparation.
