3M™ Impact Stripping Tape 500 is a specially compounded light green rubber-backed tape featuring an acrylic adhesive and easy-release liner. Its specially formulated backing is designed to withstand impact from common blasting media, including aluminum oxide, steel shot, glass bead, and plastic. As the thinnest tape in the portfolio, it offers outstanding conformability for masking complex shapes and fine details. The acrylic adhesive provides a strong bond to a wide range of surfaces, including metal, glass, wood, and many plastics, while performing across a temperature range of 40°F (4°C) to 120°F (49°C). Combined with the durable rubber backing, the adhesive enables clean, one-piece removal with minimal cleanup after use. 3M™ 500 cuts easily, smoothly, and cleanly, making it an excellent choice for masking intricate patterns, fine details, and small lettering. Its highly visible green backing helps create distinct cut lines for improved accuracy during application, while the silicone-coated paper release liner provides easy removal and is well suited for die-cutting and converting operations.
