3M™ 4714 is a black, 1/4” thick, closed-cell, medium-density vinyl foam tape with an acrylic adhesive designed for gasketing, cushioning, sealing, and insulation applications. It offers excellent aging characteristics and remains flexible when exposed to elevated temperatures and UV light.

3M™ Vinyl Foam Tape 4714 is a black, 1/4” (250 mil) thick, closed-cell, medium-density vinyl foam tape coated on one side with an acrylic adhesive. The adhesive provides excellent quick-stick adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including many metals, glass, and plastics. Designed for demanding gasketing, cushioning, damping, and insulation applications, the foam backing helps seal out dust, light, and moisture when compressed to approximately 30%. 3M™ 4714 offers excellent aging characteristics and maintains flexibility when exposed to elevated temperatures and UV light. The conformable foam backing and adhesive system provide reliable performance on curved, irregular, and uneven surfaces. The silicone-treated white paper liner supports efficient die-cutting and converting without the need for an additional laminated liner.

3M™ Single Coated Vinyl Foam Tape Series 4700 is available in 3 thicknesses: 62 mil, 125 mil, and 250 mil.
