3M 4317 Urethane Foam Tape

3M™ Urethane Foam Tape 4317 is a 3/8” thick, charcoal gray, conformable, low-density, open-cell urethane foam carrier with an acrylic adhesive on one side. It provides excellent cushioning characteristics while providing high absorbency to seal out moisture, dust and drafts. The acrylic adhesive delivers high initial quick stick to many surfaces along with excellent chemical resistant and shear holding strength, even at elevated temperatures.

3M™ Urethane Foam Tape 4317 is a 3/8” (375 mil) thick, charcoal gray, soft conformable, low-density, open-cell urethane foam tape coated with an acrylic adhesive on one side and protected by a silicone treated paper liner. It provides excellent cushioning while providing high absorbency to seal out moisture, dust and drafts. When compressed 50%, the open cell construction provides an air barrier and cushion in electronic equipment. 3M™ 4317 can perform under a wide range of temperatures.

Featuring 3M™ Adhesive 430, the modified acrylic adhesive delivers high initial quick-stick to a variety of substrates, along with excellent chemical resistance and shear-holding strength, even at elevated temperatures.

Its open-cell foam construction is commonly used between component panels where a degree of separation is required to dampen or prevent vibration. It is also used as a thermal insulation barrier and to protect against contamination where a measure of airflow is still necessary, such as with electronic components where air flow helps keeps components cool.

3M™ Single Coated Urethane Foam Tape Series 4300 is available in three thicknesses: 125 mil, 375 mil, and 250 mil.
